heads up all modular knitters

I only saw photos of a finished item for each lesson on the Web site. Is there something more I missed? The sort of illustrations I hope would be in the book are the more detailed ones that most good books have.

Ouch! I understand that one perfectly, Els. My young dog (the BIG one) gets running and jumping around in the back yard while trying to get the older dog to play, and I have had him smash into my knees a few times too. It's bad enough when he gets me from the side, but when he bashes hard into the front and buckles my knee backwards, that really hurts. And of course you can't get mad at him, he's only playing and doesn't know that he hurt anyone. Take care, and I hope your knee ... and Ophelia's too ... feel much better very soon! :o)

Peace! Gemini

Hi Nora,

the book I asked about previously, _Design Crochet_, edited by Mark Dittrick, has a chapter in it about modular crochet. Someone is getting me a copy. There is another book, _Modular Crochet_, but it is also an old publishing date, but I'm looking for something fairly recent if there is such a book. Thanks for checking! :)

Thanks Sue, that's Modular Crochet, with an older publishing date as you said. But I'll probably be getting it anyways too.

Cheers,

No Jan the illustrations I am talking about are indeed the once you have seen as well. I did print these out and put them with my lessons so I have a bit of an idea what it looks like when it is finished.

She also has a mailing list at Yahoo

with the tutorials and pictures. I just joined, hope I can work on things as I have time for them.sue

To anyone who's interested, there's an easier way to join Yahoo groups, via email, without going to their website, which I find much easier. If the group you want to join is called "group-name", send a blank email with no subject line to

snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com

for this group:

snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com

Make sure you use the exact group name, including hyphens (-) and underscores (_).

You'll receive an email asking for confirmation that you really want to join the group, just reply to the email, you don't need to write anything in it.

If you want the postings to the groups sent to you as a digest (maximum 25 posts per digest, if there are 50 posts that day, you'll get 2 digests in your in-box that day), first subscribe to the group as above, then send a blank email to

snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com

To unsubscribe:

snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com

Well I am not too bright at the moment and am not doing anything worth telling about. I am resting mostly and waiting for the knee to heal:)

It will give me something nice to read though:)

Oh dear. That sounds as bad as falling hard. Yes dogs can be hefty creatures!

I hope yours feels better soon. Just rest it a while and have a nice read of something good:))

You can do all that, but I find it easier to go to the website and you can check your email preferences (single, digest, or none) right there on the signup page.

I'm starting no mail at first because I'd like to catch up to the group before I start getting current posts.

Smart move! When I joined a yahoo group last month, I didn't really read all the other stuff about the mailing, and just thought if I *don't* click on something than nothing will be sent to me. WRONG! I went to check my email after reading the group and looking around a bit... and my email was swamped with all the messages I had just read, and more. Needless to say, I went back to the group and checked where I didn't want any emails at all... I prefer just to read it all on the site.

Peace! Gemini

Hi Suzee,

Exactly, what's easy for one person is not necessarily so for another. I find the Yahoo website generally rather unusable for me.

Hello Ophelia,

The knee is just fine, and I hope that you will be fine soon as well. Every day a little step forward.

A big Hug
