Hi and welcome to the group! I've been knitting socks too, with those wonderful self-patterning yarns. I've just been using the freebie Patons pattern but now I've made a few pairs I am going to try some other ones.

Sometimes I think that when people hear that something (turning a heel, knitting lace etc) is *supposed* to be difficult they become afraid to even try.
Eimear, who learned to knit at school and turned a heel at age 8 or so but never again till this year!
