I'm here!!!

Hello everyone!!! I just thought I'd let everyone know that I am here and that I have been offline reading and trying to keep up with all that is going on here with all my friends!! I have not been well at all and am trying to stay glued together the best that I can. I want to thank my friends here who have emailed me!!! I really appreciated it and am very grateful to everyone!! As some of you know, I was in a car accident in May, and now I have another cancer scare to contend with. I made it through bone cancer once and I don't know if can do it again. This time it is in the same place in my face. I grew another polyp. I had wondered why my face kept swelling?! I thought it was just all the miserable allergies from this time of year, I guess I was wrong there!! Oh well, We'll see. Aud, I want to thank you for the picture you had sent of the lilies if you remember? Yes, that is what mine look like now. I wish I knew how to post pictures, so I can show you mine and all the projects I have finished and am in progess of here!! Thank you again. You are a sweet and wonderful person and I think of you often!! I hope all is well with you!!! The good news here is the County fair starts on Monday!! I have 3 things I am entering and I managed to talk a couple of friends into entering things also! I am SO looking forward to this! I talked to the leaders (I don't know their title) and they said that hardly anyone has been entering anything at all these last 3 years and it is very sad.(I knew that). They remembered me from the years past and they are very excited to see the things I have made. I am very encouraged to hear that! I don't know if I will be up to baking anything this year, but I will see. I am entering a crocheted afghan. It is a Mile a Minute pattern I had found and it is a varigated blue/green/purple color. It is Redheart Watercolor. I made it Queen size instead of what the pattern called for. I didn't want a lapsize afghan. I feel If you are making an afghan, make it a good sized one!! Also I am entering doily I had made for Christmas time. It is red, of course. The last thing I am entering is a round tablecloth I am still making in thread crochet.I will have it done ontime the rate it is going!?! It is a pineapple pattern I found from Annie's Attic. This is the same one I had talked about earlier in postings that has given me such a hard time! Thankfully, there is a good clear picture of it and it repeats itself! Because the pattern is not good. It is coming along beautifully!! Oh, I am using Southmaid white thread for that. And it is keeping me occupied and my mind off the pain. The other good news I have is went to the local thrift store about 3 weeks ago and I found I whole bunch of yarn and thread(crochet) that was brand new still in the package. I got the whole bunch for $2.50!! This was a whole big bag of it!!!I feel like I struck a Goldmine! The Motherlode! It was even all matching dyelots!! The next project on my list is going to be a crocheted tote or purse. I have been cutting out pictures from the ads of the newspaper for style and color ideas. I am very much looking forward to this! This will be a lot fun for me. I had better go, It is

1 in the morning here and I have to get back to bed. (All I want to do is sleep, no matter how much I get, it isn't enough.)I want to wish everyone a good weekend with good health!! Fairwinner

Hi Fairwinner,

I too was sorry to hear about your cancer again and the car accident. Any time you need to talk we are hear from you, or if you want, just drop me an email. I'm a good listener.

The afghans and doily for the fair sound very pretty. I do love pineapple things. I have one crochet pineapple afghan pattern that I love and have made so many of them, I think I could do it without looking at the pattern.

Hugs,

Nora

Welcome back! I'm sorry to hear about both your car accident and your cancer returning. You seem to be such an upbeat and optimistic person... both very good to help you beat all the problems life deals you. :o)

Rest when you need to (and when you can) and laugh when you can as well... both are the best for keeping up your spirits and good medicine to help you through it all.

I wish you good health, much luck on your entries into the fair, and my prayers and good thoughts will be with you!

Gemini

PS By the way, you may not hear from Aud... unless she is able to email you, as she has left for her summer home.
