On a Kenny Rogers album that I have (all my albums are still packed away in boxes upstairs, so I can't look it up) he did a song that more or less gives you (me at least) an uneasy feeling that... what if Jesus came back now, would we be smart enough to treat Him better than the first time around? You know... the sad thing is, that most people wouldn't treat Him any differently. :o/

ARGH... my mind is drawing a complete blank (no nasty comments here. LOL), I can't even remember one line from the song, but I remember that it really touched me and definitely made me think and look at strangers with more openess and kindness than I ever had before (not that I was ever cruel toward anyone).... which people should do anyway.

Peace! Gemini

I think I may have heard that one, Gem. And I agree with you, unfortunately. :-(

No, I've never heard of it but it does sound interesting. Is it a recent book?

Eimear, thinking of Erik von Danniken (sp?) and "Chariots of the Gods"

God's Best to you, Katherine! While not Prespyterian, I am so very happy for anyone who has discovered their life's work and is persuing it. Not to mention, how much the world needs labourers to enter into the harvest!

Trivia: PRESBYTERIAN: When you rearrange the letters: BEST IN PRAYER

God bless you! Donna Jo

Donna Jo, THAT was neat! I'm not Presbyterian either, and now I'm wondering what you could do with: Evangelical Free Lutheran Methodist Baptist Reformed Catholic Orthodox etc... You're going to fit in here just fine! Hugs, Noreen

I've heard this one before, and no the majority of us wouldn't be any different...we'd no doubt not realise and think him weird and eccentric

No it came out years ago back in the sixties, I've no longer a copy of it, but maybe it'll turn up somewhere like ebay or something it's all about the halo bit, that some think this was a space helmet and with him rising back up into heaven etc it takes alook at the unborn babies too how they are like astranauts inside the womb, with their little cords attached to the placenta like a space man to his ship...lol

it\ just draws up all sorts of parallels....

Hugz.....Cher

Sorry for the late reply...I went to RC school, very strict if I remember rightly, and my first ever nursing post was with the sisters of Mercy, they were lovely too. So caring and understanding of our elderly patients. I only left to go to the main line hosp to train.

cheers....Cher

Odd, you know, several people have mentioned courage. I don't see it as that. I simply see it as my doing what I was meant to do.
