Started a new jacked today....

Aud it looks very fancy, I like your pattern, I can hear the clicking of knitting needles all the way over here......

I was demonstrating today at the local Fall Fair. Lots of spinning weaving and bobbin lace as well as quilts, hand and machine knitting in the show. I was shown several very neat childrens cardigans, knitted from top to bottom on the machine. If I can get the pattern for it I will post it, It was so nicely done. I have some time to get the pattern, since you are up to your neck knitting your pink jacket.

Anna Maria, what does "Kram" mean? I ask because I have a nephew named Mark who was being silly and made his email address Kram... Mark, backwards. LOL I'd just like to be able to tell him what it means in another (which one?) language. ;o)

Kram means... "hug" in Swedish :-) The most common ways to end a message to a friend are:

kram (hug) puss och kram (a kiss and a hug)

Norwegian and Swedish are very like, we can understand eachother easy. But some words are different: Hug in Norwegian is: Klem We have the word "Kram" in Norwegian too, but here we use it to descibe how the snow is, when you can make snow balls from it.(humid and wet; opposite to cold and "flour like") Aud ;-)

That is beautiful, Aud! I'm sure it will look wonderful on you. And is very stylish - I have been noticing that type of jacket all over the place here in the U.S.

Ahhh.... sticky!! ;o) We usually say "It's packing snow!" meaning that you can make snowballs from it instead of it being fluffy.

Thank you for the Norwegian lesson too, Aud! :o) That is one thing that I miss from when I used to have my own chat channel on IRC.... we had people come to chat from all over the world, and most of them would teach me different words or sentences in their native language. :o)
