OT but perhaps we could all learn something from this.

A friend pointed me in the direction of this story. It gave me hope that, despite our differences, we can all learn to live together and respect each other.

Thanks, I understand now.

Google has been down for over half an hour so if that is your search engine it won't have worked for you. It is back up and working again and I got straight to the page via that link.

It also appears that Melinda reached the page via that link also. If it isn't working yet I'm not sure what to suggest.

During the first Gulf war when we had missiles over Haifa , my friend`s cat and dog who hated each other would sit close to each other in the safe room , months later whenever they heard a big noise they would look at each other and run to the safe room. Animals come to water and don`t eat each other , they come to the vet and don`t fight ,,,,, in order to survive they have animal rules ,,, mirjam

Indeed, "If only all of mankind could learn such valuable lessons as this. Lessons of instant friendship. Of peace and harmony by way of respect for one another -- no matter one's color or creed."

Or opinions ... there's a lot of disharmony in ngs :-(

FWIW, I read something a looong time ago that said that people should not fear striking sparks in relationships -- it is the surest sign that the relationship is still alive.
