Well yes Mirjam or they just have a bit more money to spend. Look at it this way, they keep the economy going, lol.....We came through a depression and a war, and you were brought up to be thrifty. So once in a while though it is nice not to have to worry about money, and not feel guilty either when you bought something that was maybe not needed or just a bit more than you should have been paying...ha, ha. Our kids hate me when I come out and wear one of their old coats and boast about it. or worse, you wear one of their bathing suits....LOL wicket me. It is just harder to throw things out with that kind of background. My kids buy easier and spend more as well. I have learned to sit back and shut up....(grinning here, because that is not really me, ha, ha)

Big wouldn't be too bad, but big and short - now that is a hard combination to find! And M&S carried pants and shirts that fit him without altering them.

Me too ...... a few years ago, I discovered the Salvation Army thrift stores, and Value Village. I got my most comfortable pair of stretch jeans at Value Village, the best fitting jeans I've had in a long time. My daughter clothes her 3 kids from Value Village - says Wal-Mart clothes are "crap". We've found Gap clothing at VV... jeans for $3 to $5, etc etc. Besides, I get a big kick out of shopping there. One time I bought an old suede jacket and have been using it for soles for slippers. It cost me $10, and a pair of ready made slipper soles are more than that (I think).

Folks of a feather stick to together....LOL, I think we all love secondhand stores. I sure do. Garage sales are sometimes even better. It is always bargain time I think. I am just looking at my 20 balls of creamy yellow cotton sitting in front of my computer. Good for braiding as well. All for a couple of bucks at our favorite junk store

That's a great idea - can I steal (borrow) it?

Of course! Happy to pass it on... I've made at least 4 pairs of soles out of that jacket and still have material for more. It truly was a bargain.
