Off-topic for the group but on-topic for the thread. :P Does your MIL like flowers or plants? Years ago, my parents had bought one of the

*huge* satellite TV dishes but when the newer, smaller dishes came out, they got one of those. So, there they were, stuck with a 20- 30 foot by 20-30 foot dish in their yard. My mother planted sweet autumn clematis (a perennial) at the base of the dish and, every year, it's covered in greenery and smallish white flowers. My dad calls it his $2000 flower trellis. :P

Tracyey,

That is a great use for antennas, I will have to pass that on.

Well, I hope it's something that helps. I know that getting rid of those things can cost a bundle. I know that my dad asked around a bit about getting rid of his and it was something along the lines of $1000 because of it's size and it having to be cut up and carted away piece by piece, plus the disposal fees. If 10-30 dollars worth of plants can make it less of an eyesore and more of something pretty to look at, I'd take that route, too. :)
