Thanks, Stella. I was aware of this, but have no problems with that use of animals. The horses are not harmed, and the urine helps people. That is a vary good article.

Lee, Many things cause cancer. I benefited greatly from Premarin, unlike the cigarettes I smoked, which were much more likely to kill me. So what are they using as a substitute for the urine? Probably something else artificial that can cause even more problems. I can't use soy, BTW, for other reasons.

Premarin not only increases risk of breast cancer, but also stroke & heart attack, which is why it's rarely prescribed any more & why the farms are divesting themselves of the mares & foals. however, i have to say i don't really object to the horses being used for Premain production. what i object to is the spent mares & the ones no longer needed because of the drop in Premarin sales being sold for dog food. it would be wonderful (although highly unlikely to happen) if all the women & thier families who were helped through the use of Premarin donated to the rescue of the horses... congrats on stopping smoking though. lee

Thanks, Lee. I also don't take Premarin any more either. I have very few flashes any more, so I figured I didn't really need it.
