All voices are beautiful. All faces are beautiful. All bodies are beautiful. JM2C, Noreen (who personally thinks she's ugly and can't sing, but too many people have atttempted to convince me otherwise via the above statement)

Hi Laurie! I'm a new member of the group since you were last here. I live in Duncan and hope to be at the Fleece and Fibre fest too.

From the pictures I have seen, you are far from ugly. And I know that your spirit is beautiful.

But, but, Els! Like I told my niece aeons ago.... If someone speaks with an accent, it means they speak at least one more language than YOU do. She and her friends got the POINT and never did what they did again.... BTW, I adore accents! Hugs, Noreen

Not thick, but very gentle to listen to.

In response to your closing line.... I always said (jokingly) "Conceit is a fault and I don't have any, I'm perfect!", to which my Mom would reply (laughingly) "Yeah, a perfect idiot!" LOL

Splort! One thing I am *not*, is conceited. I've always had low self-esteem, and have been repeatedly told that this is MY problem, it's NOT up to anyone else to praise, whatever, in order to raise my ego! LOL Noreen

Glad you enjoyed it. Actually I flubbed my own line and can't believe I did that. It is supposed to be "I am NOT conceited. Conceit is a fault and I don't have any, I'm perfect!" LOL By the way, I'm not and never have been conceited either... and always had a pretty low self-esteem, but that was just a goofy thing I would say to my Mom when she would say something like "Jeesh, there's no conceit in this family, you have it all."... just inside family jokes that we always did. :o)

Noreen, as I've tried to consider/understand/rationalize this problem(and a few others) about myself lately, I'm beginning to believe we ARE swimming in the same (gene) pool. Of course, there are times when I catch myself feeling positively smug about something, and then I worry that I *am* being conceited(though I usually have the sense not to say anything out loud, unless I make sure whoever I am talking to knows me very well, or is well assured that I'm kidding!) I'm usually the one making the remark about there being no conceit in someone else's family, etc., etc.
