return to group after a couple years :)

Hi all. I was actually only part of the group a short while - then some huge family complications came up and I didnt have time for online stuff. Now we've moved back to Victoria ( on Vancouver Island) and I'm back to working part time. And I have time to read the group again :) I don't expect anyone will remember me but the strong personalitys of some of the group are easy to remember ( grinning) I think too I still owe someone squares from long ago..maybe Nora remembers? I'd like to correct that. Waving hello upisland to Els too...are you ( or is anyone else) going to the Cowichan fleece and fiber fest in Duncan this weekend? I'm hoping to. I beleive there will be a knitting circle and weaving also. hugs Llaurie

Laurie, welcome back and welcome to Vancouver Island. Yes laura, I will be demonstrating at the Fleece and Fiber Fair, I am wearing my name tag, but you will instandly know who I am, the one with the big smile and the loud voice, with that neat Dutch accent. It is going to be a great show, and I do hope to see you there.

And no I certainly had not forgotten you, I did count you while we were doing the ..... lets count all the 6x6 squares knitted during the last two years ..... Ha, ha... did not help me one bit though... did not get the nummbers correct and you can ask here, it certainly was not for lack of trying.... (a grinning Els)

See you on Saturday.

I'm looking forward to it! Is there a schedule of events anywhere? I only saw the community info ad on the shaw schedule and have searched the net but only see a phone number for more info. I imagine that lady is inundated with things to do at the moment :) laurie

Hi Laurie,

Welcome back to RCTY !

I wasn't sure if you were the Laurie from Canada that I remember, but Nora explained that you were posting under a different last name.

You'll see a lot of the same faces still here, and several new ones.

I'm glad you're back with us.

Rusty in CT and Dusty too

Hi Laurie. Even though I'm relatively new here and don't remember you, I would like to welcome you back. I hope you are happy with your new home on Vancouver Island and get to meet Els. Let us know if she really has a loud voice. LOL
