To Aud & Mirjam - From Spain

Yes, Ladies - I'm in Spain, but not where all the tourists go. I am in an area called Extremadura (near the Portuguese border). My DH and I bought an Farm of 400+ Olive trees; masses of Nut Trees (almonds and Walnuts) and some fruit trees (too many to be bothered to name). We chose Spain after looking around the world (have family members in practically every continent), because it was the cheapest option for the Children and Grandchildren to be able to visit us. The language is still a bit of a hurdle - no-one speaks English in this region, but I'm getting there. Fortunately the village we have chosen to be near is very very friendly (just like RCTY actually) so the gutsy ("risky") move has been made easier. What is bad about it is that VERY few people know what a knitting machine is! At least they have heard of the internet, which allows me to connect with you all and online-shop for my yarn from England.

Oops, better stop chatting now before you all regret letting me back! Speak again soon. Bye

p.s HAve just realised it will take me a week to reply to any posts. I really need to be here every day, but that is not possible.

Welcome back, Kari. I hope that you will get caught up - I know how difficult that can be! I'd love to see some pictures of your new place.
