I just received this from Jessie and wanted to post it. We will make this our RCS January Challenge. Please make sure that you send me an email with a good scan/picture of your challenge so that I can create a webpage for Jessie to see it all and choose her winner
Hey MC, I'll try one more time. Everything disappeared again. O.K. I've got a challenge for every one. The winner will receive a poem I typed along with some supportive picture that I try to draw. I know Merry Christmas in English, of course. But I also know it in French, Spanish, and Hawaiian. What little bit of Japanese I know does not include anything about Christmas. My challenge is to do a two page spread outside your comfort zone. Pick another language or/culture and have fun with it. It'll be interesting to see what others find to be different. Makenzie brought home an outline drawing of a Christmas tree with instructions that the family was suppose to decorate it. It just happened to be when my goddaughter, Chrissy was visiting. Mama made multiple copies through her scanner. Me, Kenzie, and Chrissy colored with magic markers tree after tree after tree My Mom stayed up and glued beads and buttons on for ornaments. Oh She cut the trees out and folded them in half, gluing them down the folded edge. We had fun. And we have a keepsake as well as warm memories. Sad part is we forgot to take pictures of any of the process. Guess I'll be making a angel or star today. Kenzie won a piece of candy for first place, but kindly rekindled us when she got home. Look forward to seeing folk's results and I hope everybody has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.. My Mama did take pictures of me and Kezie putting Bratz makeup on each other. Keep your eyes open for that one.
Keep Scrappin, Missing Y'all, JESSIE .
