Patti and Jessie

Aug 10, 2005 6 Replies

Hey everybody, My friend Betty called me last night and Pattie was at her house so she put her on the phone. She sounds very tired and of course stressed. Between making the trips back and forth to Louisville and taking care of her five year old granddaughter, she is pretty worn out. She is also upset that Jessie is not making the progress she had hoped. It does sound as if she is responding a little more. She nods her head in reply to questions. She does still have the trach. She asked me to tell everyone how much she appreciates all of the cards, etc that everyone has sent. She would still like to get them and requested that they be sent to her house. Anyone who does not have her address, please e-mail me privately and I will send it to you. She had been ill for awhile, unable to talk and pretty much out of touch. She is much better now and would appreciate any contact. I told her she and her family are in our prayers and she said she appreciates that. She especially appreciates Dave and M-C's kindness. She said she had written Dave a letter but then she found out this week she had never mailed it! Our cards are displayed in Jessie's room. She took the book M-C sent, home with her and said it was sooo beautiful and couldn't thank M-C enough.

a good friend is a life long treasure

I am really glad that Betty is now letting Sabrina know what is happening with Jessie. With everything going on, taking care of Mackenzie, driving

5.5 hours roundtrip to Louisville to spend time with Jessie, and trying to keep everyone informed, it is virtually impossible to get through to Patti. Since Betty is Patti's best friend, it's nice to know that we can get news to Sabrina who is also a good friend. I hope that everyone will continue to send cards to Jessie and Patti. They are always a morale boost to Patti and something new that she can talk to Jessie about and share. Both Sabrina and I have Patti's address, so feel free to email either of us if you need it!

Prayers of course, are always welcome. M-C

Thanks for updating us Sabrina! Happy to hear she is responding.

Thank you for the update Sabrina! Many prayers being sent for Jessie and family.
