SO did you break into yours yet?

I did, LOL! I've done lot's of squishing and rolling and such. I have made a handful of marbley type beads. I want more colors, haha! I haven't baked anything yet. I kinda wanted to get a little load together first. You got me thinking about what I could cover, hmmm.

Oh My Gawd, I know what you mean about wanting more colors. In order to get the clay, I gotta make sure my poor van will make the trip up the freeway to the nearest "big" town, then I gotta suffer through the LAMPWORK supplies that Hobby Lobby keeps in the same aisle as the polymer clay, (The first time I went to that aisle, this family came in and bought the $100 startup kit--to make body jewelry) then I gotta suffer through the atrocity that is HB's price for 2oz of poly clay ($1.49 for SculpeyIII) and convince myself NOT to go look in the bead aisle. It's all worth it, though! Not two days ago I found an online source for Sculpey that had the size I've been getting at $1.10, and for the life of me I can't recall where it was.....aaarrrggghhhhhhhh! And they had ALL the colors, and my HB doesn't--they only have about 20 of them. Poo on that!

Thank you, Margie! Now, if I could just get them to look the way I want then to, lol! It will help if I ever get a pasta machine and decent blade.

I finally cracked and ordered a pasta machine on ebay; can't wait to start making really flat, smooth sheets.

Cheers, Carla

I love the black disks on the right! Those are awesome! You are getting better and better. The roses are gorgeous! I would put some wire stems on those and put them in a vase.

Looking pretty good, Candace! I need to get my bum in gear and get working with my clay again. Alas, this week is full of school starting (homeschool and ballet), helping a friend who is having surgery and purging the basement of all it's various and sundry JUNK. (freecycle is a great tool!!) Next week, I'll be able to work in my craft room again!!

I bought some the other day but I haven't worked with it. My friend said she loved the stuff so I'm giving it a whirl. The only bad thing about it is there are so many colors at our Hobby Lobby. Too many dang choices!
