Very nice. The top looks comfortable and the bag is nice in bringht colors. Coggie
Hi Sue,
That bag is lovely, my kind of colors. The top is lovely too, is it made in a varigeted color?
Hugs,
Nora
Hi Nora,
Thanks - it's not variegated, it's a pale blue strand twisted with a white slubby strand.

Thanks Coggie! I was very pleased with the top, it fits really nicely, all we need now is some warm weather so I can wear it!
Hi Dawn,
The bag is knitted in garter stitch, I really couldn't stop once I started because it was fascinating to see the colours unfold as I went along. Quite addictive LOL. It knitted fairly easily even though the thickness was quite variable. I didn't try to crochet with it, but I think it would work fine. I haven't got any left, so can't experiment.
I bought a scarf in sari yarn last year (which matched a hat in sari yarn that I'd got from somewhere else). My scarf started long, and stretched, so I'm probably going to cut the end off to make it the right length for me. I don't know what I'll do with the cut off part.
Your bag is lovely, Sue.
Thanks Penny, I'm pleased to say that the bag hasn't stretched yet, and I have used it a couple of times now. I'm sorry but I can't think of anything to make with a scarf offcut, it depends on whether you can unravel it and how much there is. Good luck with it.
Sue
It's always nice to see successful completion of projects. Both of yours are lovely. Did you need to line the bag?
Both projects are lovely. The top is really pretty and feminine. The bag is great. I love the colors and it should get a lot of compliments! Congrats to you. You do great work! Diane
I think the scarf had quite a loose tension which is why it stretched. The hat I got has been fine, so probably your bag will be fine - the scarf was long to begin with, and now trails on the ground...
Penny
Hi Jan,
Thanks! I know I like to see pictures of the things people have been working on, too. I haven't felt the need to line the bag yet, but if I get problems with the contents snagging on the knitting, then I probably will. I need to use it a bit more to find out.
Thanks, Diane!
Sue, that bag is just beautiful and I love the colours God Bless Gwen
All of your projects are beautiful Sue! I really love the crocheted top, where did you get the pattern for it? And the socks are great, I really enjoyed seeing the pics of those becuase I just got into knitting with that new spaced dyed yarn. It's fun to see how all the colors and patterns come out, isn't it? Ah, that would explain it, loose knitting does tend to get longer and thinner!
Thanks Gwen, and a belated welcome back!
Hi Marie,
I made up the pattern for the top. It's very silly really, because I have loads of patterns, but I hardly ever find exactly what I have in mind, so I often end up adapting something or designing it myself. Yes, some of that sock yarn is great isn't it? I must get back into knitting socks ready for the cooler weather!
