OT Good news...

  1. My sister delivered a rather cute little boy this afternoon Oz time, early she was due 16th January but apparently healthy.

  1. As you can all see, I have my newsgroup access back. It disappeared for about a week, probably down to the feed to our ISP not the ISP themselves.

Any way, just catching up and posting the good news got to get back to beading a top for a costume party tomorrow afternoon.

He wasn't going to miss out on Christmas presents - just make sure that as you are the auntie, you don't make the mistake later on of giving one present for both birthday and Christmas. Those of us born close enough to Christmas remember as we get older that our birthday and Christmas are two different days - unless of course the birthday is the 25th December.

Congratulations on your newphew's safe arrival.

Happy Christmas to you and your family.

I've got other relatives that have birthdays close to Christmas so I've heard the story before, but now I've got to get two presents a 'welcome' present and a Christmas present!

WOOHOO!! Talk about a wonderful early gift for your DS!!! How exciting! No babies in our household for at least 20 years... I'm SO ready!

Can you adopt grandchildren? Cuz if my guys don't get a move on it... I may just have to do that! LOL

Seriously -- there is nothing more wonderful ... at Christmas or anytime of the year... than a new baby! What a treasure!

And we're glad you're back online without any glitches!!!

There are probably lots of young families far away from grandparents who wouldn't mind having somebody be their adoptive grandparents. Look around at your church or your neighborhood or ....
