Prayers, good thoughts needed

My Grandpa hasn't been feeling well since Christmas. It appears to be similar gall stone problems to those he had just before Christmas two years ago that put him in the hospital for over a week. It is very hard to get him to go to the doctor because he fears going to the hospital again, but he needs to see a doctor unless the problem clears up very soon.

My step father could use some good thoughts too. He is undergoing chemo treatments for lung cancer. The doctors say the chemo won't cure him, but just buy him some time.

And finally I'd like to ask for strength for my mother. She is the primary care giver for both these men, although they live in different houses. She often feels torn from her wish to be in two places at once, and is fearful of finding the worst has happened while she was away whenever she goes from one house to the other. It is a great strain on her.

I know the power of your collective thoughts and prayers. Please keep them in your thoughts. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Being a primary caregiver to my DH, I know the strain that can be to a person, so I'm sending positive thoughts and prayers to your mom (knowing she'll find the courage and the strength to get through this.) My DD is also in the process of going through Chemo for lung cancer, his prognosis is looking more positive....sending prayers for healing angels to find your step father and help him win this battle or at least not suffer too badly during this ordeal and last but not least, prayers and positive thoughts for Grandpa too.

Big hugs to all of you, Launie, in Oregon
