Willing to share the wet stuff with just about anyone. We are working on our 25th straight day and going for a local record at 33 according to the weather forecasts on TV-- things are soggy and hills are deciding to join the valleys etc. So far personally we only have a wet floor in the back basement and not in my craft room. I suspect our Oregon and BC RCTY folk are experiencing the same. It would be less gloomy if it weren't also this time of year when the sun sets around
4:30 (4:39 yesterday). I have only poked my nose out the door to go to the grocery store and the post office this week - and have seen no need to get up very early. Now if we could manage to shoo these clouds a little further south like we did last year -- but then, of course, we would have another drought with problems for power generation and irrigation water. Maybe just some moderation would be good -- instead of a "rainy" season with almost no rain followed by one with nothing but rain.I am getting some knitting in - done isn't the right word though. I ripped DH's vest last night as I overcompensated for making his last sweater too big and when I checked the almost done back last night it was too snug. I had started with the back which is plain stockinette so that I could make that sort of change before heading into the cabled front. Now I have only the ribbing for the back done and ready to switch to the bigger needles for the stockinette back. I love the tweed wool that I am using - which helps.
I am waiting for some neon green and neon yellow Dale Falk to make a sweater for DGD#2 - that should brighten up my knitting area anyway. She is eleven and wanted something in "bright lime green" -- this should meet that test. I like working with Dale yarn - so that should go pretty fast even though it uses relatively small needles.
