AD: Ending today Tillerman Beads first auctions!

Thank you to everyone who has helped give Mike such a boost of confidence for his first auctions!

I had a few more listed yesterday but the message I posted seems to have disappeared. We have a bunch of sets waiting for good homes and many that already seem destined to go to someone nice. I can't thank everyone here enough for their help in starting Mike on the road to beadmaking.

I am going to have to wait until after Nov11th when we get home. May have a Chesterfield set then or even a Bolsover castle set.

I'll make sure to have both sets ready for when you get back!

What colours do you like best?

He's so British, though! He had some very good results with his first auctions, many of them sold and if it were me I'd be jumping up and down screaming and wriggling around but he just smiles and says 'Oh good!'

Of course, for him, that is the equivalent of screaming and jumping and wriggling. Well, maybe not the wriggling.

He then vanished into the SH*D for a while, I wonder if he did any wriggling in there...

It's really been a lifesaver for him, lampwork. He really, really gets into the whole zone of working and forgets the time and ignores anything outside his little world.

Thanks for the kind words, and the helpful comments. He takes it all very much to heart and very seriously.

He just sounds so British too. I always find humor that they don't hug, giggle, jump up and down in excitement. We Americans must seem barbaric. LOL

But... we do! Well, I do. Sometimes. I'm slowly gaining my stiff upper lip though!

Everything is boxed and ready to go on Monday morning. I made it to the post awful yesterday about five minutes late. *sigh*

I hope you enjoy them.

The women here are very friendly and often walk around arm in arm, which surprised me at first, but the men can be pretty reserved.

I'm working on Mike though. Occasionally he actually laughs out loud.

It is a common thing for women to walk arm in arm. If someone says to you, "put your leg in bed" they mean you to put your arm through theirs. Its sort of united we stand divided we fall. Happens a lot with mother and daughter. Shirley
