Thank you very much. I know I can do much much better if the weather was warmer and I could get outside to work, instead of trying to do all the sanding and shaping in a bucket of water. I want Spring to hurry and get here! Not fun trying to work with seashells and water when it's 9 degress! :D

Ahhhhh... the power of Paua! :) Tell her to be very careful polishing them. If they are thin she will go straight through the shell. Aslo the dust is very dangerous! If you or her would want help as to how to polish them let me know and I will post something here. But if it turns out to be to much work or a big bother.... you can send them to this guy I know in Ohio! LOL

So you have noticed that also? Many NZ sites just refer to the beauty around them and won't show the rest of us. Why is that? I knwo a lot about NZ from research and want to know more and will..., but finding honest information is very hard.

First off let me welcome you to the group. I wasn't here when you introduced yourself, so WELCOME! It's a great group here, which youve probably already found out! ;-) Second: I don't want to sound snarky or anything, but how about using warm to hot water? I too drill shells and beach glass, since I live in Florida all of that is easily found, and started using warm water on cooler nights, or nights I had the AC too low. LOL! Another tip is to use gloves (latex or that other stuff for latex allergic people)...your hands don't get so cold. If you ever want some drilled (or undrilled) shells, or REAL sea glass from an actual ocean from FL, just give me a holler. I've got a truck load of them! ;-)
