Oh, MY GOD. Fran!! That set is amazingly gorgeous!! I have to try EDP now. I HAVE to. Wow!
!!!! I keep looking at these. How on earth did you get the edp to not devitrify when you encased it with the blue? That's my biggest problem (at least it was when I tried it the one time a looooong time ago). You're the queen. I bow to your EDP skills. I'm going to go hyperventilate now.
I think the secret is to get the edp base bead as perfectly round as possible, and then leave it alone... no flashing in and out of the flame. Of course, the bead will crack as soon as the encasing color touches it, not a big deal. Once you start rotating and evening things out, the crack repairs itself and everything ends well. :)
As far as edp in general, I don't worry too much about devit. In fact, I really like it and sometimes when I DO want it to happen, it doesn't! Isn't that how it always goes? :) As long as the bead doesn't get white all over, patchy devit (just matte here and there) looks pretty cool, I think.
I'm glad you like them!
Thanks, Fran. :)
Sigh... "Not the Shrinking Violet" is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous... wow! I love it!
