I always like your 'plaited' look.

These are Susan B (wiredwoman) beads, I take it? I really dig her stuff, and you've done them plenty of justice, IMO, while giving the piece your own, identifiable 'look'.

]EXCEPT, I like it! I particularly like the way you wrapped the ]seed beads. Is that your own style?

thank you. it's just something i made up as i went along, to try to tie it to what i knew i was going to be doing on the ends.

]Delicate -- great colors.

**grin** well, the colors go to Susan! with lampwork, i go from there - but they give me the starting place.

]Yum. I really like the braiding or whatever it's called.

thanks. braiding is all i know to call it. starting with a different number of strands gives a different pattern each time.

]Well, not completely. You chose more shades than there are in the lampwork ]beads.

thank you. i appreciate it, truly!

It's a string figure also known as "cat's cradle", only this is applied to stringing beads, a form of netting. I saw the pattern in Jewelry Crafts Magazine. I do netted ornaments but never applied what I know to the stringing of jewelry. That is going to change as soon as I get some things from Marjean.

In that case please tell me what type of stringing material you use for your multiple strands. I'm never sure if I should use wire or thread and when it's more appropriate or prudent to use one over the use of the other. Of course this might be a personal preference and if it, I'd like to know yours. Ta.

i haven't used anything but various weights of Fireline for a long time. with the size 11 seed beads i usually uses, 12lb works out about right. and i use the multiple strands to give the lampwork more support [most of them have seed beads inside them, too.]

Thanks Vicki for making such a nice piece with the beads you bought from me. I hardly ever get to see the final chapter, so always love it when I get to see finished work.
