Another bracelet............

Sigh. I'm so addicted:

I did play with the idea of loading it up, and I might like that for something fancy, but for now, I like the simpler one:

That is a truly beautiful bracelet. I so admire anyone who can do good wire work!

Actually that's done with rings isn't it? I admire that too! I can barely put a jump ring on something and wireworking is totally beyond my skill!

Thanks! I guess you'd say it's wire rings! It was all a big mystery to me until I learned how to saw the rings and put a few links together. Now I feel like, "Why was I so intimidated by this?" Lol!

Jerri, I'm waiting for my order of rings to come so I can start doing chain maille. Are these your FIRST efforts?! Where did you learn? I've found a lot of tutorials on the web and I only hope I can get half as good as you in such a short time. If you have any tips or tricks you'd care to share, I'd be very interested.

You are actually making your own rings? Wow. I might attempt that some day but first need to learn the weaves first.

Hi Cindy,

My sister took a chain making class at Wm. Holland, about a year ago. When she was down visiting last month, she taught me how to do some. I only know a few chains, but I think I can figure out a lot of them. Here's a great site that Cas sent me:

Sawing your own rings is really easy and so much cheaper than buying them. I don't mind doing that at all.

Been there. Fantastic site! I've also learned a lot from the Yahoo chain maille group -
