Probably "velux" blanket material. stuff is great for beading.. plus it is very anti-allergen for asthmatics... they recommend those blankets... they wash and wear like iron too...

Whee! Margie has been busy - I received beads, findings and a lovely PC pendant from her today :) I knew it was coming (mag swap), but it still made me squeal!

They wear ME like iron too. I feel asleep on a hotel bed without getting onto it properly and the blanket rubbed my legs just about raw. Burned like crazy. And I'm talking sleeping not other in bed activities.

You did! Wheee! All I knew was there was some GF for mum's wedding jewellery. :) p.s. had been thinking of getting some GF/SS ("proper") crimps, you mindreader!

I picked up two scarves at the $1 store today that seem to be that same material. *ALMOST* like felt, but thicker. I bought disposable cake pans to put them in. The walls are a little high, but then again, I don't need the "scoop" space that ya'll do. Or perhaps I can cut them, and duct tape them shorter.

You know you could put something under the material (layers of cardboard) which will raise the beading surface to the sides of the pan if needed and duct tape. Very clever, Mary.

I don't do the seed beading, so I don't know if it will *really* help me. But the good thing about this will be that I can use 2-3 pans for 2-3 projects! I always seem to have a few piles in the shoebox that I use, then run out of room. cuz I don't put them back in the containers! LOL!

I hear you. I have one of those flocked bead boards. You know the kind for designing jewelry with measurements on it? It's filled with beads I've never put back and topped with a large freezer bag of SS wire. It's a catch all so that I have room on my counter to work.

they are cake pans. The dollar store I went to didn't have any.

I would like to find some of those 1/2 size cookie sheets, though...
