My wife's mother recently died and left a bunch of costume jewelry that can either be worn or taken apart and used to make new jewelry.
I apologize if this is not the NG to post this, but I've run out of options to divest of the jewelry.

All she said was that it could possibly just be junk... which is, of course, a possibility with any unknown quantity. But that was right after giving you an encouraging comment.
