Cure For the Post-Birthday Blues: TFNR! ~OT~

Well, after being The Birthday Princess for a whole week, it's a wee bit of a letdown to just be a plain ol' Tink once it's over. *sigh*

On Saturday, my birthday proper, we had a grand time... While we were out, the letter carrier had tried to deliver a package, but wouldn't leave it because we weren't there. With the studio rebuild, package deliveries have been a common thing, so I thought nothing more of it until this morning.

I went to the Post Office and presented my little slip. Imagine my surprise when the package I was given had Hanna Andersson all over it! I remembered reading about HA and visiting the website when we were talking tights recently. "OMG" I thought. "Did I order something???" Sometimes I do that, and don't remember. Or do it when I shouldn't. LOL!

But not this time.

Inside the bag was a fantabulous pair of rainbow stripey tights!!!!!!!!!!!! TFNR, if you will! And OHHHHHHHHHHHH how luxurious they feel!!!! There was a sweet little gift card attached, stating: "Happy Birthday Tink - Hope these are funky enough for you! Hugs... Barbara Lyons, Penguin Trax".

Now how cool is THAT??????????????????????

Barbara, what an incredibly wonderful thing for you to do. You really made my day! I plan to wear these with my Flamin' HiTop Chucks to teach tonight. You have perfect taste! Thank you so very, very much!

So glad you like them and I hope that they fit OK. Of course, you must break out the camera and take a pic for all of us to see!

Happy b-day again!

*chuckle* Ohmy!

Well, I can tell you this: I was kind of in a funk about teaching tonight. Not feeling very outgoing today for whatever reason. And I'm dog tired. I know how much energy I burn teaching a class. But with my NEW TIGHTS, I am looking forward to it.

Somehow, I think they will give me superpowers.

You are SO sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awwwwwwwww! How cool! You have to take a picture of you wearing them for us!

Are you familiar with Barbara Wheat, or is she just a Portland thing? Her scarves are fantastic, and she does pillows, vests, lampshades, and I think other goodies as well.
