I think anyone browsing for green and black will notice right away... it won't be a LOT of people, but the goal is really just for it to be enough people that it comes to HIS attention.

Thank you. I've been trying so hard to accomplish *something* - ANYTHING - the last couple of days. Doesn't help that I think I've got the bare beginnings of a cold or something.

On the positive side, I did get several pages of my website updated. It's not MY site but it's the one I maintain for the Guild. I got 13 out of 33 chapter pages done over the last three days. And this weekend I'm making a Grandmother's bracelet for a co-worker. For money! I won't make money on the first two bracelets but the woman has promised to make sure that she passes my name along to anyone who asks about her bracelet. :-)

okay - now, see - it would never occur to me to specify a color when i was looking for beads.

Really? I search for colors often, just to see what I can find in my color-interest-du-jour. There's SO much lampwork out there that I have to narrow it down a bit.

Did you say "what a boob" to him in your email? That is such a great put-down.

And some days, I just go crazy and look at everything "ending today".

I like lots of colors, so I don't do that. However, in the general catagory of "handmade beads", I "include" terms, like "annealed", and exclude others, like "Chinese", "bracelet", "necklace" and "earrings". That's why it especially annoys me when I have import lampwork pop up on my list (which is still over

2500 entries). Sometimes I narrow the search further to look for "Halloween", vessels or such.

Oh my GOSH, the "ending today" browses feel like sitting down to a big gluttonous feast, don't they? I love it! I just have to make sure I have plenty of time...

Yeah, I have lots of varying ways I like to search, too... just depending on what I hope to find. if I'm in the mood for a certain color I'll do that, or a shape, or a theme, etc.

Or just to be crazy and see what pops up if I search "lampwork princess" or something!

I think everyone has their own particulars in terms of how they search, it's not a one-size-fits-all proposition at all.

HUH. Yeah, even if they're sterling (and I doubt they are) they are DEFINITELY not Bali.

In addition to these lies about the products he's selling, there is his use of words, it has that ring of bad translation from chinese.

I think it's just a matter of time before he gets busted and booted off eBay.

I'm still making my set, though. :D

The butterflies like these dragonflies are what prompted my question the other day. I've only seen them in pewter and metal coated plastic.

"Ending today" searches are dangerous. I try to keep a day ahead so I can take a second look, and a second cull, before considering purchases.
