Gloating over my upcoming visitor!

Neener, neener, neener. I get to play with Kathy (KDK) for several days here at my house! *happy dance* We are gonna melt stuff. Lots of stuff. It sure would be cool to have a webcam set up by then.

I'll be lucky to have the studio whipped into shape by the time she arrives though. I haven't had the torch on for weeks. Prairieson reminded me that the last time there was such a long non-torching period I made a quantum leap when I finally hit the torch again. He's convinced that will happen this time. LOL! I hope he's right!

If there is anyone who wants to come over to hang out for an evening, probably Sept. 16th, just drop me a note. Prairieson will feed us, and we can play with beads and have a grand time!

Oh, I'm in Toledo, for those who are wondering :-)

So COME! This MAY turn into a pajama party. We can load up the fire pit, make S'mores... MELT STUFF. lol

I can tell you, they are GREAT with dark chocolate. And also great with Nestlé's Crunch.

We'll light the torches, melt some sugar, and stay up all night :-)

vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from "Kandice Seeber" :

]Just don't melt the house down! (Unless you think it would make a cool ]bead, that is....)

You're home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Safe and sound, I take it???

I didn't want to post about our visit until you were back. I had a glorious time, and hope the both of you did, too!

Yes, we are, and yes, we did! It was so cool getting to meet you and Jeanne -- although *nobody* ever looks like you think they will, and as I mentioned, if I'd been asked to guess, I'd have swapped the two of you.

BTW, we found something in a mall on the way home that you would *love*.

-- I couldn't resist the "Alien Invasion" one! Celine

Nope -- I didn't even know there was such a thing!

I am sooooo envious! I really wanted to invite her, but with three kids... and moving... and family visiting... it was not gonna work! I wish you lived in Toledo Oregon so I could drop in. What fun!

I know I sure didn't! I've seen pics of Prairieson, though... she loves to show that fine hunk o' man off!

Oh yes. I dearly love showing him off. But as cute as he is, it's the man inside that's the most perfectly gorgeous. One word: Honorable.

I should scan in his HS band picture. He played the tuba. LOL! Still does, in fact. He was so adorably squeaky-clean Wally Cleaver-ish that it's adorable.

Well hopefully I can make it out to Oregon for the Gathering next summer!

And Oregon/Washington are both on my lists of places I've wanted to visit for a long time anyway!!

Come see me in Tacoma on your way through. I'm right off the freeway!!

That's a helluva good word.

Deirdre

It sure is. Makes pretty much every other word I can think of pale in comparison.

One of my favorites, and one I try to live by. After all, you can get back almost everything but your reputation.

Good luck with the pups Lisa! Would have been cool to meet you, but I understand!

Oh, I really hope so! That will be so cool, and you'll just LOVE it out here!
