Its done! (first peyote piece)

Thank you! Im hoping that better stringing stuff will make tension a little easier. Dang.. I didnt know I was this persistant. I wasnt going to let those little beadys get the best of me! Are you willing to try again or did you find something that suits you better? Diana

LOL She shoots, she scores!

I will try again but first I want to try the square stitch that Sooz sent me and this very cool rosette lace bracelet. Sooz knows I'm such a girlie girl.

It's very simple, and would be the perfect break you needed. :-D But it's also demanding enough to be very interesting. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

The rosette bracelet is comparably fast. It is **gorgeous** IRL!! You will adore it. I saw one I made the other day, and I'd forgotten how pretty it is in Living Glass. (I really need to make one for ME.) Both those bracelets make people go "Oooooh, where'd you get THAT?" ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

If you make it using any Swarovski, I recommend using Fireline. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

I know what you mean, Sooz. It's very similar in style to the bracelet Shirley made for me. Though I think hers resembles the "wagon wheel weave". That bracelet never fails to get compliments and of course everyone wants to know if I made it. Not yet, my little chick-a-dees.

Margie! That's the MOST fun part! Make sure you have at least 8 beads to repeat when you embellish......or you'll get bored. But too many and it'll look a mess.........This project teaches one balance and artistry and the grace of randomness. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

Sooz, you should scan them in and stick them in Bead Notes!

There's a reason I can't do that, however. Sorry, everyone. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

I always find with weaving projects (even very, very simple), that it's almost impossible to start pulling out beads for one, without coming up with

4 or 5 more variations. And making several at a time, you kind of "train your hands" and can work up several much more quickly.

You can vary sizes of beads for a certain look......or use all the same size for another look. You'll see -- experimenting is FUN. But it will mean making many bracelets -- uh oh..........

Margie, it's true -- whether you make them at the same time or not, the first one will go more slowly, and then you'll get faster and faster.

But these very-embellished bracelets are never terribly speedy, because your thread tends to get caught on the embellishments you've already added. So you're always being very careful, or unhooking your thread to free it, or....yeek. (It's worth it) ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
