Marisa2 Visit and Bead Night

Did you wear your bracelet???

Marisa and I had a blast learning how to do a chevron stitch necklace which she turned into a bracelet. I think we had enough time to do the necklace but I think we talked more than beaded! She and her husband are gracious hosts and her husband made us vegetable sushi for dinner and no egg and flour brownies for a snack. What a treat!

Next time we get together we really will try to learn the right angle weave. We're bad, we never did get around to it. :=)

Also tested out the Fireline 4lb test line. Very strange stuff. It appears to kink easily but it didn't effect anything. Not sure what I think about that test, maybe too light for what we were attempting. Next time we'll use the heavier test.

[Now for my belated reply...]

The bracelet is still pulling apart some when I try to put it on :( I think the problem is that the claspy thing really isn't big enough for the bead. Still, it's a good example :) Now I need to learn other netting techniques and RAW from you!!

I had a lot of fun too.

Glad we didn't scare you off with our wierd food and messy house ;)

Ah well, it was a good practice bracelet.

Did you see the next bracelet I did the other day? Take a look when you have a moment. I loved doing it and it is so easy and very classy looking.

Ha! I loved the food and glad you didn't serve me a bowl of lima or butter beans because I wouldn't be able to say I loved them. blech.

Listen, I wasn't afraid to sit on your carpet, so it was not as bad as you make it out to be. Just start telling people you're in the process of packing and moving! lol

Yup.

I need to get some other stringing cord. Well I should try out the other stuff you gave me first.

:) AFTER I do the jewelry home show I'll probably have time to try some new techniques... (frankly I've been so exhausted the last days I haven't even been doing the stuff I wanted to for the show. Oh well I guess I'll have more then too much stuff either way. I did make a couple more watches on Saturday.)

Yeah, I like it! You think I could learn it?

:)

Ummm... ok :)

Sorry about hte constant prattle about our deseased birdie. (You might not have even caught all of it..many random-sounding things Max said actually were elusions to Mucha. :/ ).

Thanks again for coming over. We had a good time.

Try it Marisa. I used it for my MIL's bracelet and liked it much more than the 4lb. test.

I didn't wear you out, did I? ;=) When is your home show?

You are a quick study, piece of cake!

Awww...twice I missed some reference that he was making. Now I understand. No need to apologize at all, really.

I had a good time too. Let me know when we can do it again.

K. I keep thinking "I don't want to waste it till I figure out what I want to do with it". Then I realize how stupid that is. You said it isn't very expensive, and easy to get without going anywhere very special. So I might as well just use it! Well, after the show...

Nope :) it was great. I am still getting over the novelty of having a social activity with someone who isn't related to me ;)

Of cousre I will have another one and a stressful one at that at the home show, at my brother's best friend's mom's house on Thursday. She thinks about 10 people are coming. The only other one I did was at my aunt's house and I kind of goofed up but all the guests were nice enough to provide the conversation for me and didn't mind that my stuff was all disorganized and I didn't know what to say.

HMM, we'll see about that!

I think in GENERAL your schedule is more fixed then mine is :) let me know when you are ready to deal with me again.

I can always give you more, so tell me what you think about it. After the show...:=)

LOL Then I need to come over more often! We will "make it so".

The first one was trial run, you learned from it right? You'll be fine, your jewelry is different and gorgeous. Why they'll practically sell themselves. :=)

I certainly will. Are Fridays generally good for you?

:) k thanx

Great! Thanks!

For a minute I thought you were meaning the netted bracelet we made and I was going to say "yup". Then I realized you were talking about selling my stuff in a cramped living room in front of 10 strangers and 2 non-strangers.... eeshhh...

hmmm...weeeelll...will let you know in 2 days! (I have a feeling I will be too zonked to come online after that tomorrow!)

Yes.
