Well, I'm about recovered from Christmas and whatever bug we had around here. My daughter and I both got sick Christmas night, and I was in bed for
2 days and she was for 3 days. Thank goodness for children's motrin! Her temps were 103+ for three days.
I got the Cindy Jenkins bead book for Christmas, so there's some new tricks and stuff I hope to get around to trying. I loved the Larry Scott bead, and even though it didn't explain it, I think I figured it out fairly well (p.
106, if you have the book):

I don't usually use long beads for jewelry, unless it's for a pendant, so I don't know what I'd do with these, but they are pretty cool! Also, I have a customer who wanted me to make a greyhound necklace for her mother. We discussed how she wanted it, and she wanted the necklace to be black, with red and silver accents. The 5 hearts below the head represent the 5 rescue greyhounds (past and present) that she has owned:

I think it came out pretty good. She'll pick it up on Wed., before she leaves to go visit her mother, so I hope she'll be happy with it too.
