true-- even without "fancy" decoration. My standard penguins take me about 8 to ten minutes.... of course - I've made them for several years - so my "learning curve time" is out of that calculation.

Adding flowers, etc would only add maybe ten minutes more more to them... Cheryl last semester of lawschool! yipee! DRAGON BEADS Flameworked beads and glass

That is fast, isn't it?

The penguin I did is a Linux penguin for Prairieson. It will be coming out of the kiln in about a half hour. I really need to get some pics taken today. I have a week's worth of lampwork sitting on my table. LOL!

T>Wow - you're fast!!

You get to say that because you're an experienced lampworker, but I was pretty happy with the vaguely-resembling-a-penguin I made in my one and only lampworking class. I'm pretty sure it took me a while (picture glass shards flying around the room).

Mine is a lot bigger than the one you show. maybe three inches... More a sculpture than a bead, though it IS a bead. Just a big honkin' one. LOL!>

YOWSER - that is a monster -- that much glass mass would take much longer to handle....

my very first bead took me an hour and it was ONE color. Though I have to say it was PERFECTLY shaped ;-)

ROFLMAO! You're gonna love this! It just goes to show how it wore me out and how HEAVY it felt. I just measured the little guy. He is exactly one inch tall. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
