Oh I'm SOOOOOOO excited!!!!! One of our cockatiel eggs hatched last night. It takes all the determination I have to not go in there and watch the lil thing....but the parents have to be able to take care of it since we're not handfeeding. Oh they're being such a good little mommy and daddy. And that baby is the ugliest, most beautiful thing I've ever seen! :)

Congratulations. If this is your first egg hatch, you have several more to go. They will hatch every other day. The one thing I will caution is to make sure the baby and the next one to the baby are getting enough food. You'll know because their crop will be either full or empty. If they are empty you may have to supplement their food.
Sometimes the older babies, who are almost a week ahead of them, will take all the food.
