OT: Haunted House Redux?

Several weeks afo I tried to play TMUL's CD for Colette. The damn CD player kept saying NO DISC, so I popped in the disc cleaner and it read it and ran the cleaning cycle just fine, but when I tried to play any disc, it still said NO DISC. I tried TMIL's disc one more then then just turned the CD player off.

So yesterday I get an e-mail from TMIL who is sweating his non-ass off in Paris. He says he got me something from Pierre de la Mer, a rock of the sea. I'm crying because he's thinking of me even over there where grapes are dying on the vine and chickens are dying and people are getting naked on balconies (as he wrote) when the CD player comes on playing his song "That's Us."

It was TURNED OFF, power light was out, and it turned on by itself and started playing a CD that previously was not being recognized by the CD player.

Weird, eh? I'm freaked.

I've been lurking here lately ( and learning a hell of a lot from all of you), but I had to laugh when I read this post. This happens all the time to my DS's stereo's. My DH didn't believe us until he heard it himself. He went upstairs and told our "ghosts" to leave the radio alone because everyone else was sleeping. He turned the volume down and turned to walk away. The music turned back up but not as loud as before. He turned back around and said "please don't turn it up any louder".

My sons and I were sleeping downstairs when this happened so it wasn't any of us. My chicken DH then left the house because it gave him the creeps. Mind you he left us alone there.
