Your card with "Juris Doctor" reminded me of a story in our local newspaper. Apparently, one of the nearby small towns (which runs with a town council structure) has a local crank who earned his law degree, but has never practiced as a lawyer. Rather, he spends all his time challenging the constitutionality of town bylaws. (the selectmen love him, as you might thing)
Because he has the degree you're getting, he insists that everyone call him "Dr. Lastname." Uh-huh.
I'd bet there are lots of people calling him unique names, and they probably don't begin with Dr.

most attorney's don't use that ... however I heard that a guy in our class recently went to a restaurant - where there was a long wait - when they asked for his name he said
Dr... xxxx -- and had a table in 15 minutes. LOL
I don't think I shall use that. but I am having my work email and some business cards made up that will now say

they can just all suck it up at work... LOL
