Yes, I know the feeling all too well when a BFNR comes through the door. It is a case of very mixed emotions.
Enjoy your beads and I am pleased you have weathered the storm and things getting back to normal.
Your new dog sounds delightful. Shirley

Mixed? I felt joy and amazement that people would actually care enough about me to do this wonderful thing. Then I was like a little kid on Christmas, rooting through the boxes, making hooting and happy noises.
You guys couldn't have timed it better. My mother had just arrived to tell me what a jerk I am or some such, and she saw all these boxes. As I opened each box, she kept saying, "You don't know these people in real life. Why do they like you enough to do this?"
She didn't want to take "Because I'm nice and they like me" for an answer. hehehehe.
What a joyful, happy memory. I am still overwhelmed by the kindness and generousity of my fellow RCB-ers.
Love you all,

Having all those packages right then had to be so SWEET!!!! I hope your mother reevaluated her opinion of you (even if she has never let on).

Ah yes, timing is everything. I think I would eventually have said, "because they know who I *really* am, while you're still interacting with your fantasy version of me." But I'm really, really glad you could have the experience of rubbing her nose in How Wrong She Is About You.
