Show off

Just had to show that I still do sometimes make jewelry. Here's a necklace I made recently as a commissioned work, all hand-shaped hearts:

And here's my new best friend, a heart press designed by Cindy and made by her brother. I went to a demo she did this weekend, and this press really is unique - holes can be vertical or horizontal and it's a really nice full, curvey shape :

Susan, I love the necklace. Beautiful beads, really aesthetically pleasing design, awesome colors. Big round of applause for you on that one! Neato press, too. Love, Lori P

Thanks Lori - it was a fun piece to make, especially as we're still pretty much in the throes of winter here. Working with hot colours was a treat.

Wow, you took no time getting those hearts made :D!! Now I need to get Carlos to get them online so I can keep up with my email request ;)!

Well the beads in this necklace are actually "pre-press" hearts. Having made a ton o' hearts lately was what convinced me I needed your press. Wouldn't be surprised if I will "need" the curvy one too some day soon. It was great to see your demo - only maniac beadmakers would come to a beadmaking demo in the middle of a spring snowstorm :-) S.
