Something new (aka Showing off)

This was from a tut on the Step by Step Wire mag's website. The put the junky projects in the magazine and then something good goes on the website. Go figure.

Anyway, here's the pendant:

I liked it so much, I made the necklace to go with it, instead of my usual method of just throwing it on a chain. Here's the necklace:

I'm pretty pleased with how the whole thing turned out. Definitely one of a kind!

Here's a link to the tut, if anyone wants to give it a try. It was fun!

Thanks for the link to the tutorial, Jerri.

I love your pendant with the necklace.

I'd like to try the wrapping with textiles, I have some silk cord that would go really nicely around the wire.

Hmmm..... all those possibilities.

good god, that's beautiful. I'd wear that all the time. I wish I knew how to do wire wrapping..but I don't have the time to learn right now. :(

Thanks Katie! I'm pretty pleased with it! I think, making jewelry, we get tired of seeing the same stuff, so something really different is a lot of fun.

Just print out the tut and save it for when you do have time! It's a lot of fun!

I know what you mean. I'd love to learn chain maille, but keep saying I don't have time!

Thanks for the link, Jerri. One of the things I especially like about your post is that it shows that the product can be much better than the instructions. I love how yours turned out.
