acronyms

Here is a question. For those of us who are fairly new, and not familiar with all the acronyms, please un-encrypt "LNS". I think it might be local needlework shop, but that is just a wild guess. Some acronyms used in this group appear on those websites that list hundreds of chat acronyms and abbreviations. However, ones that related specifically to stitching are not there.

Some other ones from the list we made up for the NJNeedleworkers group (I need to add SABLE to it, though):

NSLNS = Not So Local Needlework Shop WIP = Works In Progress UFO = Unfinished Floss (or Forever!) Object XS = Cross Stitch HD = Happy Dance (usually for completing a project)

And some designers & such: TW = Theresa Wentzler (designer) MLI = Marilyn Leavitt Imblum (designer) L&L = Lavender & Lace (designer) JCS = Just Cross Stitch (magazine)

Thanks for the additions. I am afraid SABLE is one of my downfalls. Deb
