Car Chart

I went to a car show last Saturday, and was prepared to be bored out of my skull. Until I saw A '59 CADILLAC CONVERTABLE!!!! I am now prepared to sell DH for this car! LOL I found another one on the net at:

and want to know if anybody thinks justice could be served to this photo by charting it. I want to capture the appearance of depth in the paint, and glaring shine, but I'm not quite certain how to do that with natural threads....high gloss silk? Shading?Maureen

Maureen, I took a look at the picture, captured it, and trimmed it so that there is very little background. I converted it to a picture with my usual way, one pixel per stitch, 95 colors. It looks lovely, but is 475 stitch wide by 201 high. If you want to see the pattern email me. I can quite easily make it smaller, but you will lose detail. Let me know what you would like me to do.

Cool car! I'd suggest either rayons or metallic threads, although I'm not sure there are enough shades in metallic to do it. The high lustre blending filament might....

HTH and good luck!
