Are you kitting up the Romeo and Juliet balcony from Stitch?
I want to. Stitch. That.
I was going to bring the magazine to the shop today (I've got all 3 issues with the project) and maybe just drool over it some more.

No, but I did an ocean one time in much the same way.

yep, that's what I'm going to do. I have parts 2 and 3 and if they turn out well, I'll try to get a back issue for part 1.
From the number of people who have expressed concerns about allergies, it is more likely to keep us from visiting shops to buy more floss!
Anyway, we all know that no matter how much floss we have, we never have the right colors for our next project. And we can never go into a shop for JUST that one skein - we always find other threads or new designs we absolutely must have.
What DMC should do is sponsor more opportunities for new stitchers - like subsidizing classes at shops. That would increase their market more effectively than smelly new products. ;)
I haven't forgotten you.....
Bravo! Please post photos. I've got another friend who is considering doing this piece. I loved from the moment I saw it months in the magazine that had the first part.

You probably know this but don't use a very dark pen to trace the design. I used a pen with a super fine point and the green ink shows slightly in some places under the lighter threads.
Wish me luck. I gotta find a small piece of wood for the tree trunk.
I've already bought them, so I guess that's me voting yes. I hadn't thought about anyone being sensitive to the smell, although I should have, since I can remember not to wear perfume when I go home to visit my mother. And heavens know I've had enough experiences recoiling from customers when working in a kiosk, and from books that sometimes reek of everything between heaven and earth now that I work in a library. (Ok, so most often it's cigarette smoke, but the worst was the fish)
I did actually have second thoughts about this floss when I got it. Since I bought all of them, the scent was a bit overwhelming at first, but they seem to have aired out a bit. All I want, afterall, is a suggestion of smell to go with an appropriate motive. I actually had in mind stitching something for my grandmother. I'll have to see about what I decide to do now.
