ez-stitch frame?

Hi,

I am new to this group, but it looks like everyone knows what they are doing!

I am looking at buying a frame for my cross stitching, and have seen the EZ-stitch one, and another one similar (i think called lap n stitch) which is a little cheaper. Has anyone tried these?

Also, i live in Australia and postage is a fortune! Anyone know where i might be able to get one in Australia?

Thanks for you input.

Welcome, Alison! Remember, looks can be deceiving. There are quite a few RCTNers from Australia who may be able to point you to local sources. I use qsnaps almost exclusively, so I can't help you on the frame question, just wanted to say that you should feel free to ask any stitching questions and not feel silly. Even the most experienced among us was a beginner once, and no one knows everything!

Hello Alison,

Where are you in Australia? If you are not somewhere you can easily get to a shop, Fox Collection put out a catalogue which includes some stands and frames.

I'm in Melbourne and know a couple of shops here. Also Victoria Needlecraft at Mittagong has a good range of locally made frames and stands. The other good thing about them is that they have a sale each year for the whole month of May.

Not sure which shops are still going in Sydney since I moved back to Melbourne a few years ago, but Margaret at Crewel Gobelin is very helpful. I love browsing in her shop.

In Melbourne, The Needlepoint has Siesta Bar Frames - don't know if they can be used with a stand or are more like using a hoop.

Another good Melbourne shop is Lazy Daisy in Heidelberg.

Also, if you have a local Spotlight or Lincraft they _may_ have what you're looking for.

Bye for now.

Hope that is some help.
