Happiness is

Breaking 30 minutes in a 5K run (did that this Saturday, so this is a bit of a brag too!) - not bad for someone on the far side of 40

My dh asking me what threads I'll need to finish a project

My 14 yo son asking me to be at a game because it's important to him

My 13 yo dd smiling (she reminds me of that Carnival Cruise line commercial these days)

Seeing this group be active!

Watching a 13-year old bounce out of the house to show her mother the very first garment she sewed! (with my help, that is)

Good for you!

I've lost 15 recently, which isn't much in the big picture, except that normally when I start losing weight without trying to, it means that I'm going into remission. :)

DD uses it to keep the sweat from dripping down and her hair from sliding forward.

Most of the way down her back.

I get a kick out of the refs A. Lifting the braid to read her number B. him/her pulling the jersey down to read her number

Those are great! When did your son start training to be a goalie? Mine is starting to express interest in that.

He's been full time goal since age 10 - 11. He's now 16, he's 14 (I think) in those pictures. He heads off to specialized goalie camps in the summer

To me happiness is the absence of sadness

I don't fully agree. You can be sad about something and at the same time be happy about something else and one doesn't negate the other.

To simplify that, for me it's often true that happiness is a warm puppy.

Happiness is being alive to enjoy the natural beauty of this world...... Barbara

Lucille - we do share some of the same happiness is...

Health - for all of us, and the fur faces (feathered as well)

Sun shining, a nice breeze, seeing light at the end of the tunnel, a good cuddle with the DH, Puckster, in front of the fireplace (in winter) on the comfy couch - with stitchin or knitting happening.

Sometimes happiness is just looking around - out on a hike, drive, and seeing the beauty around - and not worrying about some catastrophe of life for the moment.

Sharing that disbelief. A 60# English Springer has figured out how to take up more than half a king-size! No longer content with his 1/3...he's now getting more demanding. But what can you do when the pup wants to put his head down to hear mom's heartbeat (we think this is from him being alone more lately). Eventually....we can convince him to go "lie down" or "go to your cave" (lie down - means lower corner of bed along my legs - cave is his bed that moved to under a desk).
