I'm new here.

I used to be on here ages ago and found these papers I had printed out and thought to myself I should get back on here. Anyway, glad to be back. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a free chart that has to do with music. I need it to sort of be more masculine so not a whole lot of flowers and that. I looked at a ton of sites with no luck so any help would be super appreciated! Thanks a bunch. Oh and if I'm doing something wrong and not supposed to be posting inquiries like this here please let me know. I meant no offense. Amie

Amie, I stitched a heart-shaped sampler for my kids' piano teacher in which I incorporated the music to 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' (it was a Christmas present).

You could, maybe, stitch a plain band sampler? If you can get hold of a piece of music the person likes, it's easy enough to backstitch five parallel lines and make a staff and clef(s). Then, the notes can be beads or plain cross stitches. (I felt frightfully clever when I added a clear bead for a minim! LOL!) Anyway, you can just stitch the music, or you could intersperse the lines with rows of, say, algerian eyelets or rhodes stitches or queen stitches to add interest. There's lots of musically flavoured charms around and a border could be worked in interlaced herringbone stitch. You could stick to a single colour (blue or green etc) or, perhaps choose a few pleasantly contrasting colours.

PS. The sampler I made was heavily based on Sandie Vanosdall's 'Sweethearts' series. I just worked bands of my own design and inserted the line of music across the middle. If you go to webshots.com and type in 'Betrisher', I've put the pattern of my sampler up for anyone who wants to use it (completely my own design). It might help to start you off?
