INFLAMMATORY Breast Cancer

I did read it. Perhaps you should read it again: "I'm just a 'lurker' here, but I just had to respond to this thread, it has gone on and on (and on!), but not one response to the prayer request, from Karen, for her friend!"

I found "gone on and on but not one response" to be a critical statement. Perhaps you didn't mean it that way, but it certainly came across to me that you were chastizing others for not responding publically to Karen's request for prayers.

You keep saying that you've been slammed, but you really haven't gotten any worse than you gave, in my opinion. You questioned why people hadn't responded, were told that most people here do that privately, and took offense because Karen phrased it in cultural terms (but newsgroups really do have their own cultures). And now you're all wound up over what really isn't anything. I'm sorry that you didn't get what you needed from reading this thread, but that's not what we're here for.

Any particular reason why you've chosen to focus on me to the point where you put my name in the subject? I'm not the only one responding to you. Why have I all of a sudden become your punching bag?

Probably because all she ever does is ladle out nastiness, make you think of anyone with another name ? Someone who definitely would focus in on Karen, you and myself ??

Don't bother with me anymore, use your killfile, I always post with the same name and have done for years. That way I will not irritate you.

Here's one small excerpt from her post. It's the one that really got me pissed and was a criticism about our directing someone to RCTY.

"Also, maybe the people that set the rules about "our way of doing things" should re-name the group, because it covers anything and everything *but* needlework, and if heaven forbid, someone does ask a needlework related question, like the fish stocking cap pattern thread, they're referred elsewhere."

Since when is it wrong to direct someone to a place that's much more likely to be able to help? I think of that as a good thing.

I'm very sorry that her daughter is ill and I truly know just how difficult it is to cope with such a problem, but that doesn't mean she has to go on and on criticizing our ways.

Well Hells Bells -- what have I been missing? Are you guys having a verbal free for all and I wasn't invited?!?!?! Son of a gun, I'm gonna have to go back and call up all of the IBC posts to see what all the flames are about. AT least I KNOW I don't have to worry about someone picking on any of you three (R,D,H) CiaoMeow >^;;^<

GMTA. I thought of the same person myself.

If she doesn't put a specific name in the subject, everyone will simply ignore her -- and being ignored is a fate worse than death.

Perhaps everyone will now be named one by one -- but I won't see it.

lucille, And just what are the four of you doing, if not criticizing, *constantly* ??!! You're covering every sentence I wrote, huh??! Regarding your previous comment about my "spewing nasty criticism", just what are you doing?! "when is it wrong to direct someone to a place that's much more likely", I thought THIS was a needlework group, knitting is needlework! And where are the needlework threads?

The definition here is that the thread goes THROUGH the needle, not AROUND it.

"I found "gone on and on but not one response" to be a critical statement." Remember I wasn't the only one that felt that way!

"You questioned why people

Well, I guess I won't do that again now, will I? You sure have responded to everything else I've written! In your opinion? Oh yes I have!

Thanks, always nice to hear from another one (she said sarcastically!)!

Who can't take it? I simply asked why you found it necessary to put my name in the subject, especially since, contrary to your claim, I'm not the only one writing anything.

You just get nastier and nastier, don't you? And then you wonder why people aren't nice in return. Huh. Go figure.

That's ok. I've tried being reasonable with you, but now I'm done.

Gee, I do hope it's not her. I really did like her a lot at one time. C

Could that be the only person that hasn't been as nasty as you, you never did say who you were referring to when you used the word "whackjob" and your post in the Hershey thread, "they realize that I ain't no lady" was good!! Why aren't you criticized, you must be the head of the clique!! As long as you girls keep dishing it out, I'll keep responding, whether you like it or not!

Thank you Mirjam, too bad some of the others don't feel the same!

"I simply asked why..." And I simply answered you!

"You just get nastier and nastier..." No more than the rest of you, there's even got to be more of you joining in, read the last line of my response to K !!! And my responses were not directed only to you!

"I've tried being reasonable with you, but now I'm done" ??! Reasonable (?!), like I said, I hadn't posted for four days, until you did again, why don't you respond to that? Yeh, I'm done too! I was looking for a needlework group, which this definitely is not, so you all can find someone else to pick apart and chew up!! By the way, what happened to your old sig line?

Well, excuuuse me! Where are the needlework posts?

Try the "Just saying Hi" thread, which deals with needlework enabling.

I was out of town from Thursday until Sunday and simply posted on Monday in response to whatever suited me to respond to. Do you assume a deadline by which posts must be responded to? I don't.

I've had the .sig you see here at the bottom for the last 8 years, so I have no idea what you're talking about.
