It is an ancient book of charts that I found nearly 25 years ago. It's OOP, and Mary couldn't find one second-hand when she wanted to do a stitchalong.

Pout - basically nothing right now. We are in the midst of moving, and most of my stuff is packed. I do have a Teresa Layman French knot piece and a round robin on the go, but I'm finding it hard to find time to stitch. Most of my free time is taken up with packing or with doing stuff related to the move. We move in two weeks today, and we still have a lot of stuff (or at least it seems so) to get ready.

Once we are moved and settled, (and I can find my stash), I can start to stitch again.

Now you have two different pieces showing as the top of the two sides of the pile. Now choose two sides to be the sides you will keep "even" (if you sew you will understand what I mean) and sew the pieces of different fabrics together so that you have 5 blocks, the first one made of fabrics A + B, the second one is B + C, the third one C + D, etc. Once you have fabrics sewn together into blocks with two sides "even", you stack them up again with the "even" sides aligned and you cut through the blocks again in another random direction. You can cut across the previously sewn seam or not, whatever you want. Again, you take the top piece of the new block and move it to the bottom of the pile. Sew the new fabrics together keeping the same sides "even". Now your block should have three different fabrics. You Keep doing this until your block shows all five of the fabrics you started with and you are finished. This is an easy way to get what looks like crazy quilt blocks. The White Silk Quilt has 10 different silk fabrics in those blocks and it was a total P.I.T.A. to make because they are all different weights. But it is a pretty thing and I hope to have a better photo taken of it today. I'm glad that you think it's so nice -- I just hope my DNiece feels the same!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Hi Cheryl - sorry I missed your question earlier.

We're moving to Picton, Ontario. It's a lovely town of about 4,000 normally (and about 25,000 in the summer). For non-Ontarians, it's located in Prince Edward County, the bit of Ontario that juts out of the north shore of Lake Ontario. It's mainly rural with 15 wineries, one micro-brewery, a cider works, a wonderful cheese maker, etc, etc.

Once we are settled, and I've finally retired (at the end of December), I'll look around for something to keep me busy. In the meantime getting the house set up, unearthing my stash, setting up my stitching nest, planning my garden, etc etc will keep me occupied.
