OFF TOPIC - and it gets better

I was most of the way to the school I was subbing at and the truck made a horrible noise....

Maybe instead of my other suggestion about relaxing in a chair, you should just put on your jammies and crawl into bed. Since you can't run away from home, that might be an easy out for you.

More hugs and more kisses flying your way.

Got everything ready for DD's bridging, DS had hissy fit there (he ate and then when outside until the ceremony started).

DD did very well at her speaking spots and got to twist and turn a lot of Daisies to help them bridge. She's so proud of her new green vest.

Glad that DD did well. Not sure about DS having a fit there - he's getting a bit big for such...

Hope you were able to relax after with some liquid refreshment, gaze at the garden, the stars, or the new green vest.

I'll send you some of the prom pix separately - don't want us gabbing too much on the usenet.

AAARGH!

I think my Jeep cursed your truck.....

And your dryer cursed mine! I went to do a load of towels (not important ones, ancient decrepit ones we use to clean up doggie oopses on the kitchen floor), and the dryer ran, but with a god-awful squealing noise. The drum wasn't turning!

DH & I managed to get it mostly apart, turned the drum manually, and it started running again! While we had it apart, we gave it a good cleaning - and now it's running better than ever!

And the Jeep acted up again last week (after spending all that $$$$ to get it fixed!). Turns out that one of the connections for the heat exchanger of the transmission gave way (hoses that carry tranny fluid to the radiator, then back), and we ended up dumping almost all the tranny fluid! We got it temporarily fixed, took it back to the shop we had it in originally - and they replaced those hoses for no charge!

Now watch the muffler drop off......

Or the washer leak......

Now that you mention it.

The floor under the washer is dry as a bone. The ceiling of the room below is raining. DH just went to my mom's to do a load that needed doing. Otherwise, we await Monday when the handyman comes.

$10 says it's something seriously major because...well, that would be our luck.

Oh man - that would stink. Leaks and such are the main reason I put the laundry room in the basement on the cement floor.

Oh yes, but I was expecting some of the other parents with older kids to have theirs in tow.

Sort of...

Looking forward to them.. I'll send a few of DD from last night. C

Oh no!

Cool, I don't think I'll have any such luck

I sure hope not!

Cheryl, tell your dryer to shut up. This morning, I pulled a load out that, while slightly drier than when it went in, was nowhere near dry enough to want to put those jeans on my body.

Whatever yours has, it's contagious.

Fortunately, the weather forecast is such that I was willing to wear shorts to the picnic.

And I suppose I should take "housewarming gift" out of the WIP line ... the DH was just deployed to Iraq, so the DW and DBaby have moved back in with Mother till he comes home. I'll send it when they get into a place of their own, together.

So, please replace "housewarming gift" with "pillowcases for first anniversary", and put John in your safekeeping prayers till he comes home. (And if anyone wants to send him some cheery mail, contact me offlist for an address.)
