OFF TOPIC - mystery solved

Murphy`s law strikes again, Cheryl!

Today my cousin phoned up to say she posted some money to our oldest daughter on the same day I`d posted a note to her (my cousin) telling her of my daughter`s new address!

Panic stations until I made sure that Sue had arranged to have her mail redirected!

Have to be abnormal if he didn't really, I believe it is one of those rites of passage lol

It's to keep you from drinking any! Cheryl

There are a few rites of passage I could do with out! C

That he does, does not preclude abnormality.

*ducking*

One solution is to have a special drawer for presents, since i make presents all year round , or sometimes see someting in a shop "That might JUST RIGHT for XXXX", i assigned a special drawer for that. Whenever i sew i always make some `little` things from the leftover cloth, sometimes with a special person in mind, i put it in with a note of said person`s name. The other presents i `use` when i need a present .... mirjam

In the sake of saving energy etc,,, why don`t you use colored mags paper as wrappers. Or sewn bags , or empty food storage boxes??? mirjam

No - that just makes him a goalie. Any mother/sister/girlfriend/wife or father/brother/boyfriend/husband of a goalie can tell you - they are all nuts!

Real men know enough to leave it in the sink or the dishwasher. Personally, I use a glass with a handle (like a beer stein) and leave it at the front of the top rack in the dishwasher. Then when I want more water, just open the dishwasher and grab my glass. Since I am the one who normally empties the dishwasher, I know enough to never put anything in a cupboard or drawer if it is wet. That's why they invented dish towels. They're not just to stitch on.

Please George - do us a favour and take that "s" off the end of "honest" in your sig. line? Pretty please?

Personally,

George, you are on my "give thanks" list today! It lifts the heart to hear occasionally from a true gentleman. Dawne

I like this thought; I think I need to stitch it on a towel. :-)

Hear, hear! My compliments to George's mother for raising a responsible adult, not the overgrown children so many of us find ourselves with.

OK Pat, You old GOW, the s is removed even though my English translation of the Mishna does have it.

George

Thanks, George - it just hit me in the eye day and I kept thinking it`s such a great quotation - he`s BOUND to notice it soon! How odd that your translation had it.

It's on some male chromosome that gets turned on at 13 or so. It's directly linked to the "jump up and hit the wall over the door whenever you pass through it" chromosome.

Sue

DS wraps his Christmas gifts in the Sunday comics. One year when we were passing them out, we asked "who is this for?" and had to pass it to him first, so he could see what comic was facing up. DH got "Dilbert". I got "Sally Forth". Can't remember what his sisters got!

I have accumulated, over the years, sewn bags for "wrapping" gifts. I buy the fabric on clearance, and stitch up drawstring bags with a barrel clasp. It makes wrapping gifts easy as 1-2-3, and no waste!

Sue

Must be the same gene that makes him come over and say (with alarming regularity)

You're short!

C

You could be responsible for depressing Cheryl, maybe DS hasn't reached that one yet lol

LOL

What I loved was my then 6 yr old dd telling the world her mom had turned 40. And I mean the world, every stranger she met for at least a month! Gotta love our kids!
