Recently, I've been discovering wet, as in dripping, mugs in the cabinet. Now, I carefully dry all the glasses and cups before I put them away.

HOW THE HELL ARE THEY GETTING WET????

Yesterday, I watched DS open the cabinet, grab a mug, run the tap, drink some water and put the mug back in the cabinet.

Glad you solved your mystery. Now come out here and solve mine. I had set a Chanukah gift on the couch till I could get some appropriate gift wrap. Now I can't find it. Cleaning lady swears she has not cleaned the living room in the past week, so she doesn't know where it is, either.

Men! LOL

It's just water, Mom, it's not dirty!

Between the cushions!

You could hear him?

Cheryl

ROFL! I guess I spend WAY too much time with teenagers! Between home and work, there is always someone of the teenaged variety within 20 feet! lol

Caryn

That would explain it!

Cheryl

At least he used a cup. I remember seeing very many teenagers drinking juice or milk directly from the container and putting it back on the shelf in the fridge.

If someone said why can't you use a glass, the answer inevitably was what's the problem, I don't have anything contagious ??

Checked there first. No such luck.

Short of taking everything out of the living room, including moving the furniture, I decided the easier solution was to just go buy a new one. As soon as this new one is out of the house, I'm sure the old one will turn up in the middle of the bathtub, or in the kitchen sink, or somewhere else that I know for sure it wasn't when I was looking for it.

Do you think one of your cats decided that he wanted to celebrate Chanukah this year and figured the gift was for him. Maybe he (or is it she) took it and stashed it somewhere.

I'm sure if you ask nicely they'll be glad to tell you.

Lucille

Oh dear!

Today, I drove out to the "bird seed store" and got DBIL his yearly donation to the birds of the yard. In the mail was 25% coupon when I got home.

I always know that when's something's lost like that, it's in "a safe place." I stash things in "safe places" and promptly forget where they are!

Lucille, have you been lurking in my kitchen?? DH always drinks his V8 from the bottle; he knows I don't much care for it, maybe he has worked out why??

WATCH IT Cheryl -- Foul language again!!!!! Now YOU are gonna get all violent and cause your kids to become ax murderers or something!!!!! Gotta LOVE those kids dontcha?!?!?!?!?!? LOL CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Cassie Baby Cat wants to know if you checked Miss Kitty's secret stash spot? Whenever I had something come up missing -- regardless of the size, I ALWAYS checked the kitties' favourite hiding spots :-)! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

One better than drinking the milk directly out of the carton lol

I did that so often with Christmas presents that I had to start writing down on my Dec. calendar at work where I had hidden something so I could remember it at Christmas!!!

DH has the nasty habit of leaning over the bathroom sink, putting his mouth around the tap, and drinking directly from it after brushing his teeth. Thank goodness we have separate sinks! Bleah!

Except this wasn't stashed in a "safe place" because it was just needing to wait till I could rummage for some non-denominational paper, which I figured would only take till the next day. I'm sure it was simply teleported to some alternate universe and will turn up in a totally obvious place (either one I know I've checked, or, as I said, in the bathtub, where I didn't have to check because I used it multiple times since the disappearance). Used the oven yesterday, so I'm positive it isn't in there, which means that one of my lost objects will turn up in the oven, unscorched, next week.

There are times I am afraid he's doing just that!
